Design Concept: This tabletop handmade ornament is another LIULI creation inspired by the classic Chinese concept of “Ruyi.” Blending the swirling symbol itself in intricately carved patterns with the shape of a traditional Chinese sycee (gold nugget) the glasswork combines the hope of fulfilling wishes with fortunes and wealth. Being much more than just a token of good luck, the ruyi is a reminder that one can be inspired to achieve anything they desire. The symbol is drawn from over two thousand years of Chinese history and is the greatest compliment someone can pay to give their blessings and good wishes. |
