Design Concept: Inspired by the Earth, this design builds from the core upward, unveiling diverse landscapes as light transforms throughout the day. A tunnel in the table body represents the “antipodes”—a journey through the Earth from one point to the opposite side. Moving from surface to core, this design reflects a spirit of exploration and adventure. Crafted from solid cast Liuli crystal, this artwork embodies Earth’s natural beauty and dynamic energy, with rich pigments flowing within the crystal to evoke the movement of Earth’s elements. As light shifts, the colors evolve, creating a mesmerizing landscape that changes with each angle. The tunnel serves as a symbolic passage inspired by the notion of re-emerging on the other side of the world, as once imagined by an artist close to Loretta H. Yang. It invites viewers to transcend boundaries, opening their hearts to the Earth’s subtle melodies—a love that connects all corners of the world in a song of unity. |
Features of the work
LIULI's first upcycled coffee table collection, crafted with creativity and a commitment to sustainability. We repurpose glass from past artworks, blending Eastern artistry with our respect for nature. This ESG initiative, launched in 2022, reflects our core value of "creating art that is good for the heart." Founder Loretta H. Yang reimagines the traditional "pâte de verre" technique, experimenting with innovative colors and upcycling materials. Collaborating with the renowned Yong Jin Wood Crafts, we merge glass and wood to create a perfect balance of art and functionality.
Craftsmanship
This upcycled coffee table collection repurposes residual materials from the pâte de verre process. Instead of discarding leftover glass and casting residue, LIULI creatively reintegrates these by-products into new designs. The collaboration with Mr. Jiang was key to perfecting hidden wood joinery and refining the table's structure. By optimizing green production processes, LIULI seamlessly blends sustainable design with exceptional craftsmanship, turning waste into beauty.
Care guide
- Weight Limit: When the table surface is evenly loaded, the maximum weight limit should not exceed 6 kg.
- Usage Precautions: Please ensure even application and distribution of weight. Avoid placing heavy objects on the edge of the table to prevent imbalance or damage.
- Prohibited Actions: Do not sit on the table surface or apply concentrated force in a single spot, as this may cause the table to tip or become damaged.
- Movement and Usage Precautions: When moving the table, place it down gently to avoid collisions or dragging. During use, avoid sharp objects or concentrated impacts on the surface to prevent cracks or scratches.
- Placing Hot Food: When placing hot food, use heat-resistant pads to avoid sudden temperature changes that could cause the glass to crack.
- Damage Handling: If the table develops cracks, damage, or chipped edges, it increases the risk of glass breakage. Please contact LIULI customer service or the original gallery for an assessment of repair time and costs.
- Warranty Information: Under normal household indoor use, this coffee table comes with a one-year warranty, provided there is no damage due to external forces, human factors, or environmental causes. For more details, please visit the "Care Guide” page for more information.
- The internal packaging of the cardboard box is as shown in the diagram. Please open the cardboard box from the top and remove all layers of EPE shockproof boards and air cushion packaging. To ensure the product’s safety during shipping, the table is placed upside down inside of the box. When handling them, please grip the glass table legs and lift upwards. Once lifted, turn the tabletop side’s up and place it down gently.
